Things You Need to Know About Tuff Timber Coat
- Tuff Timber Coat is able to be used on all timber and cork surfaces.
- Due to its Durability it Tuff Timber Coat helps with edge bonding and helps with limiting the quilting effect (please note that it does not remove both quilting and edge bonding rather makes it easier to avoid it).
- Coverage is 8-10 sq.m per litre (depending on timber and timber preparation).
- This product cannot be applied in temperatures below 10 degrees and above 32 degrees.
- Due to its chemical adhesion capabilities Tuff Timber Coat will stick to most timber surfaces.
- Tuff Timber Coat does not require a sealer.
- Is compatible with all other Tuff Coat Auxilary products.
- Tuff Timber Coat is also compatible with Krystal Clear (you can use Krystal Clear on top of Tuff Timber Coat or Below Tuff Timber Coat).
- Can be applied at 2-3 coats per day if the product is catalysed. This enables the drying time to be shortened to1-1.5 hours. (depending on atmospheric change will also shorten or extend they drying time.)
- A 6mm-12mm Roller, However, we recommend that you use a roller that is between 10-12mm. It can be:
- Lambswool
- Mohair
- Micro-Fibre
- A brush can also be used to apply Tuff Timber Coat.
- NO need to worry about bubbling where most other products bubble when using such large rollers Tuff Timber Coat looks better with that application.
- There are various tinters that can be used in order to change the colour from clear to any other products (for more information about that contact Tuff Coat Australia).

Floor Preparation
New Floors: Sand to a smooth finish (Not more then 150 grit), Make sure that the surface is clean, dry and free from wax, grease and dust. If cork tiles are uneven they should be fine sanded with 120 grit sand paper and vacuumed thoroughly.
Recoating an existing Floor: To ensure good adhesion to the old surface, wash the floor with Tuff Cleaning solvent, when floor is dry, sand the surface thoroughly to ensure that there are no contaminants on the surface, and then apply 1or 2 coats of Tuff Timber Coat.

Safe Handling
Handling and usage of this product must be carried out under well ventilated conditions that prevent inhalation of Asthmatics take extra care. Prevent skin contact by wearing impervious gloves. Breathing of vapours is harmful and may cause lung irritation and allergic respiratory reaction irritates skin and eyes. This product must be kept firmly lidded as it deteriorates rapidly upon container immediately. In case of spillage, absorb into dry sand or earth. Remove from work area. Cover with water for 24 hours before disposal.
